GIGM Price List: Fares by Bus Type, Terminals, App Booking and GIG Logistics (2026)

GIGM Price List: Fares by Bus Type, Terminals, App Booking and GIG Logistics

GIGM likes to say it was the first Nigerian coach company to issue e-tickets, and it has sold seats through its own app since 2016. That habit shapes how its fares behave: the price on your screen can sit slightly below the counter price, and it shifts with the vehicle you choose.

So a GIGM price list is really a set of ranges, not one fixed number per route. The ranges in this GIGM price list are approximate, based on recently reported fares and cross-checked against what rival coach lines charge on the same roads. GIGM adjusts them whenever fuel costs move, so treat them as a guide and confirm in the app.

From God Is Good Motors to GIG Mobility

Edwin and Stella Ajaere started God is Good Motors in Edo State in 1998, and Benin City is still the company’s base. Their son, Chidi Ajaere, took over the running of the business around 2009 and pushed it hard towards technology. In December 2015 the company unveiled a rebuilt Jibowu terminal with self-service ticketing, and the mobile app arrived the following year.

In 2019 “Motors” became “Mobility”, and the company now trades as GIG Mobility, still shortened to GIGM. Later that year it opened terminals in Accra and Kumasi. Its chief executive, Dr Enahoro Okhae, has put the network at more than 40 terminals.

You will still hear “God is Good” shouted at the loading bay, and older receipts carry that name. It is the same company.

The GIGM Price List by Route

The table shows approximate one-way adult fares on GIGM’s main routes. The spread mostly reflects the vehicle: a standard Toyota Hiace seat sits near the bottom of each range and premium vehicles near the top.

RouteApproximate one-way fare
Lagos to Benin City₦25,000 to ₦32,000
Lagos to Asaba or Onitsha₦28,000 to ₦45,000
Lagos to Enugu₦35,000 to ₦45,000
Lagos to Port Harcourt, Aba or Owerri₦32,000 to ₦56,000
Lagos to Abuja₦50,000 to ₦58,000
Abuja to Enugu₦44,000 to ₦48,000
Lagos to Accra₦100,000 to ₦110,000

Two quirks are worth knowing before you budget from any GIGM price list. The app and the counter can disagree by up to about ₦1,000: an Enugu to Abuja Hiace seat, for instance, has been listed at ₦44,020 in the app and ₦45,000 at the terminal. And the return leg is priced on its own, so Abuja to Lagos may cost more or less than the trip down.

Benin City is where the company started, and Lagos to Benin is one of the cheapest rows in the table. Our Lagos to Benin bus guide compares the companies and terminals on that road.

Every row in the GIGM price list climbs from about mid-December into the first week of January, and again around Easter and both Sallah holidays. Seats on the eastern routes sell out first, so book those a week or more ahead.

Hiace, Hiace X and JET Mover: What Your Seat Buys

The vehicle decides much of what you pay, and the GIGM bus types on offer vary by route and by departure.

Toyota Hiace

The standard air-conditioned Hiace carries most GIGM passengers and sets the floor of the fare range. Seats are assigned at booking, so there is no scramble at the door.

Hiace X

Some departures are sold as Hiace X, priced a little above the standard bus. The seat map in the app shows the layout before you pay, so compare the two on the same morning before you commit.

JET Mover

The JET Mover is built by JET Motor Company, a Nigerian manufacturer, and GIGM was one of its first big customers. In 2020 GIGM agreed to take 2,000 units over three years to renew its fleet, and the premium version has 13 leather seats with a personal entertainment screen for each passenger. Expect it at the upper end of the GIGM price list.

The vehicle name sits beside every departure in the app, so you always know which bus you are paying for.

Booking Through the GIGM App and Website

The GIGM app (Android and iOS) and the website follow the same steps:

  1. Choose your departure terminal, arrival terminal, travel date and number of passengers.
  2. Compare departures. Each one shows the vehicle type, time and fare.
  3. Pick your seats, then add a pick-up point if your route offers one, plus next-of-kin details.
  4. Pay by card or one of the bank options at checkout. The app lists ALAT Pay and Opay among them.
  5. Save the e-ticket and show it at the terminal.

The app is also the most current GIGM price list you will find, because it shows the live fare for each departure. It has a few tools worth using too. Book on Hold lets you reserve before paying, and you can reschedule an upcoming trip yourself by paying an admin fee, without queueing at a counter. The pick-up service collects you from a set point near your area instead of making you travel to the terminal.

Terminal counters still sell seats if you prefer to pay in person, though the online fare can be slightly cheaper. For refunds, start with the help section in the app and keep your booking reference handy.

GIGM Terminals by City

When GIGM opened its Ekwulobia terminal, it named the terminals below among its connections, and the app carries the full network. Only Jibowu’s street address is given here; for the others, open the app and read the address on your ticket before you leave home.

Jibowu, Lagos

20 Ikorodu Express Road, Jibowu. This is the flagship, rebuilt in 2015, and it also houses a GIG Logistics service centre. It suits passengers from Yaba, Surulere, Ikeja and anywhere along Ikorodu Road.

Ajah, Lagos

The Lekki-Epe Expressway option. Board here if you live in Lekki, Ajah or Sangotedo and do not want a 4 a.m. ride to the mainland.

Iyana Ipaja, Lagos

On the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway side of the city, handy for Alimosho, Egbeda, Ikotun and Abule Egba. Of the GIGM terminals in Lagos, this is the natural pick if you live off the Abeokuta road.

FESTAC, Lagos

Best for FESTAC Town, Amuwo-Odofin, Satellite Town and the Badagry Expressway.

Utako, Abuja

GIGM’s central FCT terminal, closest to Wuse, Jabi, Utako and the Central Business District.

Kubwa, Abuja

On the north-western side of the capital, for Kubwa, Dutse and Bwari residents.

Maraba

Just over the FCT boundary in Nasarawa State, for Nyanya, Karu and Keffi.

Benin City

GIGM’s home city and headquarters, with Lagos departures and links to the East and Abuja.

Asaba

The Delta stop on the Niger Bridge corridor, an option for Onitsha-bound passengers happy to cross the bridge by taxi.

Enugu and Nsukka

Two terminals in Enugu State, one in the state capital and one in the university town.

Port Harcourt

GIGM’s Rivers State terminal for Lagos, Abuja and eastern routes.

Lokoja

A stop on the Abuja-Lokoja road, handy for Kogi passengers heading to the capital or the East.

Ekwulobia

Opened in July 2026 at Solution Park, Ekwulobia, serving southern Anambra with direct buses to Lagos, Abuja, Enugu, Asaba, Benin and Port Harcourt.

Accra and Kumasi

GIGM’s Ghana operation launched in 2019 with a terminal at Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra and a second in Kumasi.

GIG Logistics and the Rest of the GIG Name

People often say “GIGM” when they mean the parcel company. GIG Logistics (GIGL) was incorporated in 2012 under the GIG Group, which Chidi Ajaere also founded, but it runs as a separate business with its own assets and operations.

For parcels, that distinction matters. You send goods through GIG Logistics, not by handing a bag to a GIGM driver. GIGL runs service centres across Lagos, Abuja and other cities, including the one inside the Jibowu terminal, and its GIGGo app books pickups and tracks shipments. It also handles international shipping and a faster domestic option it calls GoFaster. Parcel charges are set by GIGL and never appear on the GIGM price list for seats.

GIGM itself sells more than bus seats:

  • Bus hire: charter a whole vehicle for a wedding, burial, church or office trip.
  • HireX: premium car hire launched in Lagos in April 2026, with cars from vetted vendors booked by the hour or day, including airport runs.
  • PASS by GIGM: the travel and tours arm, selling flights, visa support and holiday packages through the same app.

Crossing to Ghana With GIGM

The GIGM to Ghana coach leaves Lagos, crosses into Benin Republic at Seme and runs along the coast through Togo to Accra. Count on a full day, with most of the delay at the three borders rather than on the road. When the service launched, Lomé could also be booked as a destination from some Lagos terminals, so check whether your bus stops there.

Each passenger needs a valid international or ECOWAS passport and a yellow fever card. If you do not have the card yet, here is how to get a yellow travel card in Nigeria before you pay for the seat.

The fare sits around ₦100,000 to ₦110,000 one way, about double the Lagos to Abuja line of the GIGM price list, so price a flight as well before you book.

Habits That Make a GIGM Trip Smoother

  • Price both channels on the day. If the app and the counter quote different numbers for the same seat, the app is usually the cheaper of the two.
  • Choose the terminal before the route. With several terminals in both Lagos and the FCT, the right one can save you an hour of traffic.
  • Reschedule early. The in-app change works for upcoming trips; once the bus has left, you are asking for a favour.
  • Pack for a Hiace boot. Plan on one main bag and a small hand bag, and ask at the counter before bringing a carton or a second suitcase, because bulky items usually attract an extra charge at the loading bay.
  • Have a fallback. If your date is sold out, GUO Transport’s fares and terminals cover many of the same eastern corridors.

For the capital, our Lagos to Abuja bus price guide sets GIGM’s fare against ABC and Cross Country and explains which Abuja park to stop at.

GIGM Questions, Answered

Is GIGM the Same Company as God Is Good Motors?

Yes. God is Good Motors renamed itself GIG Mobility in 2019 but kept the GIGM initials.

Is the App Fare Cheaper Than the Terminal Fare?

Often, by a small margin. On the Enugu to Abuja route the app has shown ₦44,020 against ₦45,000 at the counter, so the GIGM price list in the app is worth checking even if you plan to pay in person.

Can I Change My Travel Date?

Yes. Open the booking in the GIGM app and reschedule before departure. An admin fee applies.

Does GIGM Carry Parcels on Its Buses?

Parcels go through GIG Logistics, a sister company with its own service centres and the GIGGo app, rather than through the bus driver.

Which GIGM Bus Types Cost the Most?

Premium vehicles such as the 13-seat JET Mover sit at the top of each route’s range, while the standard Hiace is the cheapest seat.

GIGM rewards passengers who book in the app and board near home. Check the GIGM price list in the app a few days ahead, choose the closest terminal, and leave enough room in your bag for whatever your family will send back with you.
