Jabi Lake Mall (2026): Shops, Cinema, Lakeside Fun and Directions

Jabi Lake Mall beside Jabi Lake in Abuja at golden hour

Most people heading to Jabi Lake Mall arrive with the same handful of questions. Does it open on Sunday, how full does the car park get at weekends, which big stores are still trading, and what is happening to the lake beside it after the FCT Administration signed a waterfront redevelopment deal in February 2026?

The answers below come from the mall’s own website and the cinema’s published price list, with press reports for the lake. You will find the trading hours, the quickest way in from the airport and from Jabi Motor Park, what the store directory really lists, how to book a film, and what to check before you pay for a boat.

Jabi Lake Mall Opening Hours and Contacts

The mall publishes its trading hours as 9am to 9pm from Monday to Saturday, and 10am to 9pm on Sundays and public holidays. Each tenant sets its own times, so a restaurant, a pharmacy or a clinic can open later or close earlier than the main doors.

The mall stands on about five hectares along the eastern shore of Jabi Lake, with shops on two levels.

The contact details printed on the official website are +234 816 550 1930 and info@jabilakemallng.com. The mall also runs a Facebook page called JabiLakeMall and an Instagram account, jabilakemallabuja. Use those rather than numbers copied from listing sites, especially if you are making a special trip for one shop.

Getting to Jabi Lake Mall and Parking

Address and Map Pin

The Jabi Lake Mall Abuja address is Bala Sokoto Way, Jabi (postcode 900108). Type “Jabi Lake Mall” into your map or ride-hailing app instead of “Jabi Lake”, because other venues sit around the water. Jabi Boat Club, for example, is at 26 Alex Ekwueme Way on a different stretch of shore, and a driver sent there by mistake has to loop round to reach the mall.

From the Airport

Bolt’s route page for the domestic terminal at Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport gives about 32 km to the mall and around 36 minutes in light traffic. Its estimates are roughly ₦6,400 for a standard car and ₦9,800 for a Comfort car, and fares rise when demand is high.

Confirm the price in the app before you book. Our Abuja airport terminal guide explains where taxis and ride-hailing pickups are arranged at each terminal.

From Jabi Motor Park and Nearby

If you arrive in Abuja by road at Jabi Motor Park, the mall is about 3.2 km away, or around ten minutes. Bolt estimates roughly ₦1,700 for a standard car, and a tricycle should cost less if you agree the fare before you board.

Jabi Lake Mall Parking and Security

The official website describes open-air parking with “over 700” bays on one page and 733 on another, so expect roughly that many spaces.

No parking tariff is published. Ask at the barrier, keep any ticket you are given, and do not assume the answer will match what someone paid last year.

The same page says police officers from the Nigeria Police Force provide security round the clock, with CCTV support. That helps, but keep bags and phones out of sight on car seats anyway.

Two habits make arrival easier. On Saturdays, aim to park before lunch. If you are collected by ride-hailing, agree one fixed pickup point at the entrance, because drivers circling the car park slow everyone down.

Jabi Lake Mall Shops and Services

The official store directory sorts tenants by category and gives each a shop code starting with LF or UF, which appear to mean lower and upper floor. It names around 100 entries, and the list changes, so check the directory page if you are going for one brand.

  • Fashion and footwear: Mango, Levi’s, Tommy Hilfiger, Lacoste, Celio, Charles Tyrwhitt, Dune London, Adidas, Puma and Skechers, alongside Nigerian labels.
  • Phones and electronics: Samsung, iStore, Oraimo and VShop, plus a Glo shop.
  • Beauty and fragrance: The Body Shop, L’Occitane, MAC, Clinique, Yves Rocher and Essenza.
  • Jewellery and watches: Pandora, Swarovski, Watch Galleries and Timekeepers.
  • Home and gifts: Miniso, Matilda Homes and Vento.
  • Everyday errands: an Access Bank ATM, Medplus and Nett pharmacies, an eye clinic, an optician and a dental clinic.

Fixed prices and receipts are the advantage over open markets. Test any phone or gadget in the shop and keep the box for the warranty.

What Happened to the Anchor Stores

Game, which opened here as an anchor alongside Shoprite, is not in the directory. Its parent company decided in 2022 to close its Nigerian stores.

The directory lists Shoprite. Premium Times reported branch closures and bare shelves across the chain in 2025, including limited stock at a Shoprite in Jabi. If you plan a large grocery shop, confirm the supermarket is stocked first and keep a backup nearby.

Where to Eat at the Mall

The directory’s restaurant listings include KFC, Domino’s Pizza, Pizza Hut, Burger King, Ocean Basket, Cilantro, Istanbul Restaurant and Cafe, Argungu and IRIE Restro Lounge. For dessert and drinks it lists Cold Stone Creamery, Creamy Planet and juice kiosks.

The mall itself describes the dining as international cuisine, cafes and gourmet restaurants, and says the lakeside hosts music and outdoor events in the evenings. Tenants rotate, so treat these names as examples rather than a promise.

If you want a sit-down dinner somewhere else afterwards, our list of the best restaurants in Abuja covers the main districts. Check a restaurant’s own page for its opening time, since tenants do not all keep the mall’s hours.

Jabi Lake Mall Cinema: Prices and Booking

Silverbird Cinemas Jabi Lake Mall sits on the upper floor, and the directory lists it as 1265A. For the Jabi Lake Mall cinema ticket price, Silverbird’s price page for this branch shows the following.

Bollywood film₦11,500 flat, with popcorn and a drink included
School excursion₦8,000 per person, with an excursion pack and a drink

No Jabi day-of-the-week discount is listed. Prices change, so confirm them on Silverbird’s website before you pay.

The box office is published as open from 9:30am to 9:30pm every day, and the phone number on Silverbird’s website is +234 915 764 9692. To book online:

  2. Press the “Book Movie Ticket” button, which opens the online ticketing page.
  3. Pick the film, session and seats, then pay.
  4. Keep the confirmation on your phone and show it at the box office.

Showtimes are marked as subject to change, so look again on the day. For a new release on a weekend evening, book ahead instead of joining the queue.

Movies Showing at Jabi Lake Mall

The movies showing at Jabi Lake Mall are listed on the branch’s session page on Silverbird’s website, which is the only place that carries them. Anyone hunting for the Jabi Lake Mall cinema schedule and prices today will find that sessions and prices change from week to week, so read both on that page on the day of your visit. A Jabi Lake Mall cinema schedule and prices table on a listing site can be weeks out of date.

The Lake: Boat Rides and What Is Changing

Boat Rides at Jabi Boat Club

Jabi Boat Club is a separate venue at 26 Alex Ekwueme Way. Waka Abuja reports that it opens daily from 10am to 11pm and lists a pontoon boat for up to eight passengers at ₦40,000 for 15 minutes, ₦60,000 for 30 minutes and ₦105,000 for an hour. Jet skis are listed at ₦35,000 for 15 minutes and ₦65,000 for 30 minutes, and kayaks, canoes and pedal boats at ₦1,500 a head for 20 minutes.

Those figures come from a third-party listing, not from the club, so treat them as a guide and confirm before you pay. Whatever you choose, wear the life jacket fastened, agree the price and duration before the engine starts, and pay at the operator’s desk and keep the receipt.

What Is Changing on the Shore

In February 2026 the FCT Administration signed an agreement with Suburban Broadband Ltd and Akida Hills Ltd to turn Jabi Lake into a recreation centre. Premium Times reported that demolition and fencing began in the lakeside park in March 2026, that vendors were told to leave, and that residents asked whether access would be free, ticketed or restricted.

Older articles describe picnics, horse rides and shoreline vendors that may no longer be there. If the lake view is your reason for the trip, check the mall’s social pages and ask at the entrance before you plan around the shore.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Jabi Lake Mall Open on Sundays?

Yes. The official website gives 10am to 9pm on Sundays and public holidays. Individual shops and restaurants keep their own times.

Which Anchor Stores Are Listed?

Game is not listed in the directory. Shoprite is listed, but the chain has been closing branches and reporting empty shelves, so check stock before a big shop.

Can I Book Cinema Tickets Without Going to the Mall?

Yes. Silverbird’s website has a booking button for this branch and takes payment online. The box office also sells tickets from 9:30am to 9:30pm.

Is Jabi Boat Club Part of the Mall?

No. It is at 26 Alex Ekwueme Way, on a different stretch of the lake. Enter that address, not the mall’s, if you are going there for a ride.

Fit the Film Around the Lake

The easiest afternoon starts with the film, because sessions fill and parking is easier before the evening crowd. Eat afterwards, then decide on the lake once you have seen what is open. Want a quieter second stop before dark? Our Millennium Park Abuja guide covers a green space in Maitama.
