Best Hotels in Warri (2026): Prices, Roads and Where to Stay

Low-rise hotel with a white facade and palm trees beside a busy road in Warri, Delta State, in bright late morning light

Hotels in Warri serve three kinds of guest at once: oil-industry staff on short contracts, government and court visitors, and families passing through on the way to somewhere else. The prices show it, and so do the gaps between what a listing says and what a booking site charges.

What follows sets out the rates reported for the city, sorts the hotels by road, looks at the cheaper end and at the few with stronger reviews, and explains why one well-known hotel appears at two very different prices. Many scores rest on a handful of reviews, so I mark each thin figure and say when a call to the hotel is wiser than trusting a page.

Hotels in Warri at a Glance

One listing site counts 238 hotels in Warri, and anyone searching for hotels in warri delta state will find that they spread across Effurun, Ekpan, Enerhe, Osubi and the older Warri streets. The site puts 125 of its listings under the label Tori and 63 under Warri, 42 under Effurun and 17 under Ekpan. Those tags cover wide stretches, so rely on the street address and not the tag. The table sums up the first page.

ItemWhat to expect
WhereRefinery Road, Effurunughelli Expressway, Airport Road and Warri GRA
Listings238 hotels on one listing site
Lowest on the first pageAbout ₦10,000 a night
Typical rangeAbout ₦20,000 to ₦40,000 a night
Highest on the first pageAbout ₦140,000 a night
Data qualityThin, with one hotel showing 27 reviews and most showing ten or fewer

The rates come from a Nigerian listing site that does not date its prices and from a booking site that quoted euro rates for sample nights in November. Use every figure as a planning guide. I use the word best in the title loosely, for hotels with a rate on the page, and the tables sort by cost and not by quality.

Hotels in Warri and Their Prices

The first table follows the first page of the listing site and sets out hotels in warri and their prices as average nightly rates, sorted from cheapest to dearest. Brookview Hotel and Resort has a score and no price, so it is left out. Jubilee Retreat and Conference Centre shows a price of ₦28, which is plainly an error, so it is left out too.

Wellington Hotel LtdEffurunughelli Expressway₦140,000Score 6.8 from 27 reviews; pool and gym

Wellington has the biggest sample on the page, 27 reviews, and a middling 6.8, so the jump to ₦140,000 is not backed by the scores. Best Western Plus Wetland Hotel has the best combination of price and evidence at the top end, 8.1 from 11 reviews. Canewood Hotels is the cheapest at about ₦10,000, but a 5.2 from ten guests is a warning to look at recent comments. Casa De Pedro Hotel scores 4.3 from three, which is low enough that I would not book it without photographs.

A booking site lists a different set, with euro rates for sample nights in November. Euro amounts are converted at ₦1,490, the Central Bank rate from mid-October, and rounded to the nearest hundred naira.

Bedouin Hotel and Suites€99₦147,5007.6 from 9 reviews
Movela Hotels€125₦186,30010 from 2 reviews

The same booking site shows the Wellington hotels at €260 to €267, roughly ₦387,400 to ₦397,800, which is nearly three times the ₦140,000 above. I would not read that as the normal rate. It may reflect a single night or a premium room, so ask the hotel for its direct price and a written confirmation. Protea Hotel by Marriott Delta has the largest sample among the booking-site names, 15 reviews at 7.8.

Hotels in Warri by Road

Warri is a spread-out urban area, and the road you choose decides how long every errand takes. The listing addresses fall into four groups.

Refinery Road

Searches for hotels in warri refinery road lead to three of the eight priced hotels on the first page. Eliko Hotels is at Km 4 opposite Ekpan Police Station at about ₦20,000, Kayriott Hotel is at Km 3 at about ₦40,000, and Casa De Pedro Hotel is on Adidi Street off the road at about ₦25,000. This is the most reasonable cluster on the page. Traffic on a main road is heavy at rush hour, so ask which side of the road the entrance faces.

Airport Road and Osubi

For hotels in warri airport road the listing site names Brookview Hotel and Resort at Ugboroke Waterside, off Airport Road, with a score of 8.0 from four reviews and a pool. It shows no price, so call for one. A booking site places Warri Airport about 11.3 km from the city, and the listing site has seven hotels under Osubi, the area around the airport. If your flight lands late, tell the hotel the arrival time and ask whether it sends a car.

Effurunughelli Expressway and the DSC Express

Wellington Hotel and Best Western Plus Wetland Hotel are the two big names, one on the Effurunughelli Expressway and the other at Mofor Junction on the DSC Express in Udu-Warri. They suit a guest who wants a pool, a gym and a conference room, and they price accordingly.

Warri GRA and the Older Streets

Peemos Place Warri, opposite the Governor’s Lodge in Warri GRA, is about ₦30,000 and lists a pool and gym, but its score of 6.4 rests on two reviews. The GRA address is likely to be quieter than the main roads. The older central streets are busier, and the first page shows no priced hotel on them.

Cheap and Good Hotels in Warri

People who type cheap hotels in warri want a number, and the listing gives several. Canewood Hotels at about ₦10,000 is the cheapest, followed by Eliko Hotels at about ₦20,000 and Casa De Pedro Hotel at about ₦25,000. Of the three, Eliko Hotels has the best record, 7.8 from six reviews. A booking site starts lower still, with Cartwright Suites and Lounge at about €28, roughly ₦41,700, though that is a rate for a sample night and not a guaranteed price.

Visitors who ask for good hotels in warri will not find a clear ranking, because the best scores come from very few guests. Best Western Plus Wetland Hotel has 8.1 from 11 reviews at ₦64,500, which is the strongest case on the page. Eliko Hotels has 7.8 from six, and Kayriott Hotel has 7.1 from five. Swiss International Rancho Valeria shows a 9.6 on the booking site, but from four reviews. Ask for recent photographs of the actual room before you decide.

Getting to Warri and Around

Many guests arrive by air or road. Our guide to the Abuja to Warri flight price explains the fares and carriers, and our Lagos to Warri bus price guide covers the road. If you plan a rail leg into the area, see our guide to the Warri to Itakpe train. A booking site names Benin airport at 90.1 km and Port Harcourt airport at 144.8 km, so Warri Airport is by far the nearest.

How to Choose and Book

Choose the road that matches your errand, then compare two or three hotels on it. Visitors writing from abroad who search for hotels in warri nigeria should ask for the price in naira and for the payment method, since a euro rate on a booking site can differ a great deal from the direct quote.

Questions to Ask Before You Pay

  • Is there backup power if the grid fails after midnight?
  • Is water supplied from a borehole, and is it treated?
  • Is parking inside a gated compound?
  • Is breakfast included, and is a service charge added?
  • Can the hotel arrange a car from the airport or the park?

Foreign travel advice for the state is cautious, and at least one government advises against all but essential travel to Delta State and against all travel to its riverine areas, so read the latest wording against the exact place you plan to reach. Try to reach the city before dark, and tell the hotel which road you are using.

Eating and Getting Around

I found no menus for these hotels, so ask what the kitchen serves and when it closes. The front desk can usually name a safe place to eat near Effurun. Agree the fare before any ride and keep a driver’s number for the day.

Frequently Asked Questions About Hotels in Warri

How much does a hotel in Warri cost?

On the listing site I read, priced hotels ran from about ₦10,000 to about ₦140,000 a night, with most between ₦20,000 and ₦40,000. A booking site showed higher figures, so ask for a direct quote.

Which road is best for a hotel in Warri?

Refinery Road has the most reasonable cluster of rates, Airport Road suits a flight, and the Effurunughelli Expressway has the larger hotels.

Is there a hotel with a pool in Warri?

Yes. On the first page of the listing site, Peemos Place Warri, Best Western Plus Wetland Hotel, Wellington Hotel and Brookview Hotel and Resort all list a pool.

Before You Book

Ask the hotel to send the final rate, the street address and details of its power supply in a message, and keep it. A booking site names April, May and December as the cheapest months, January, August and September as the dearest, and Sunday as the cheapest day of the week. Be careful with a perfect score from one or two guests, and with a rate that has fallen sharply.
