GUO Transport Price List: Hiace, Sienna and Night Bus Fares, Terminals and Parcels (2026)

GUO Transport Price List: Hiace, Sienna and Night Bus Fares, Terminals and Parcels

In 1970, with the civil war only just over, a young man from Adazi-Ani drove his parents’ Peugeot 404 to Onitsha, squeezed in eight passengers and charged each of them one pound for the ride to Ogbete in Enugu. His name was Godwin Ubaka Okeke, and the three letters on every GUO bus are his initials.

The company still lives on the road between Lagos and the South-East, and its fares show it. What you pay depends on three choices: the vehicle, day or overnight, and how close to Christmas you travel. The ranges in this GUO transport price list are approximate and follow fuel prices, so confirm the fare on the GUO website or at the counter before paying.

How One Peugeot 404 Became GUO

After those first Onitsha to Enugu runs, Chief Okeke added a Volkswagen Combi bus for the long haul from Onitsha to Lagos, then two Mercedes 911 trucks for goods. Passengers and cargo have shared the business ever since.

GUO says its transport company was founded in 1980 as a division of G. U. Okeke & Sons Ltd. It describes a network of more than 200 destinations across Nigeria and West Africa, with its head office in Onitsha and a corporate office in Lagos. Chief Okeke has also chaired ANAMMCO, the Enugu-based commercial vehicle assembler.

The network is thickest where it began, which is why the GUO transport price list is longest on eastern routes. Routes listed on the company website lean heavily on Onitsha, Awka, Enugu, Owerri, Umuahia and Aba, with Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt as the big hubs at the other end.

What a GUO Seat Costs

GUO prices each route by vehicle, and the gap between a Hiace seat and a Sienna seat can be ₦10,000 or more. The table pulls together recently reported GUO fares, and the top of each range reflects the run-up to Christmas.

RouteVehicleApproximate one-way fare
Lagos to EnuguHiace Ultra (10 seats)₦45,000 to ₦53,000
Lagos to EnuguToyota Sienna₦55,000 to ₦68,000
Lagos to EnuguNight busAbout ₦48,000
Lagos to AbakalikiBusAbout ₦57,000
Lagos to Abuja15 or 16-seat bus₦57,000 to ₦60,000

Christmas stretches every line of the GUO transport price list. In one festive season, a Hiace Ultra seat to Enugu that cost ₦45,500 in an ordinary week was expected to reach about ₦52,725, and the Sienna seat about ₦64,125. Fares usually start rising in the second half of December and settle again after the first week of January.

For Onitsha, Owerri, Port Harcourt, Calabar and the other routes, pick a date on the GUO website to see the live fare. Port Harcourt has usually sat a little above Enugu on GUO’s sheet. If Onitsha is your destination, our Lagos to Onitsha bus price guide compares the transport companies on that route.

Hiace Ultra, Sienna or Night Bus?

The vehicle is the biggest lever on the GUO transport price list, so it pays to know what each one gives you.

Hiace Ultra

GUO’s 10-seat Toyota Hiace, sold as the Hiace Ultra, carries most passengers on the Lagos to East runs. It is air-conditioned, seats are numbered, and it sits in the middle of the GUO transport price list.

Toyota Sienna

The GUO Sienna carries five to seven passengers, so it fills quickly and, with fewer people to drop, tends to make fewer stops. On the Enugu route it has cost roughly ₦9,000 to ₦12,000 more than a Hiace Ultra seat. A family of four can take most of the vehicle between them.

15 and 16-Seat Buses

On the Lagos to Abuja run, GUO has sold larger 15 or 16-seat buses, with about ₦3,000 extra for an air-conditioned one. Ask which you are getting before you pay, because the cheaper fare may not include air conditioning.

Night Bus

The GUO night bus leaves Lagos in the evening and arrives in the East the next morning. It is one of the cheaper lines on the GUO transport price list, below a Sienna on the same route, and it saves a hotel night, but it puts you on the Benin and Ore stretch in darkness. Read the safety section below before choosing it.

GUO Terminals and Where Each Sits

GUO’s full terminal list is on its website and app. The locations below are ones GUO names in its own notices and booking pages. Always read the address printed on your ticket, because several cities have more than one GUO point.

Jibowu, Lagos

GUO’s best-known mainland terminal sits on the Jibowu stretch of Ikorodu Road, beside the other big coach lines. It suits passengers from Yaba, Surulere, Ikeja and Ojota.

Iyana Ipaja, Lagos

On the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway side of the city. GUO has sold Abuja, Enugu, Ebonyi and Port Harcourt seats from here, so Alimosho residents rarely need to cross town.

Ikotun, Lagos

One of the GUO terminals in Lagos with its own customer service desk, convenient for Ikotun, Igando, Egbe and Idimu.

Area 3 and Utako, Abuja

Buses from Lagos have been booked through to Area 3 in Garki, close to the city centre. GUO Logistics also keeps an office in Utako, with others at Apo and Gwarinpa.

Onitsha

The head office and the heart of the network, with direct buses to Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Owerri.

Okigwe

An Imo State stop on the Enugu to Port Harcourt expressway, useful for passengers from Okigwe and the surrounding towns.

Port Harcourt

GUO sells Lagos to Port Harcourt seats, and GUO Logistics runs an office at Alakahia in Choba, near the University of Port Harcourt. Confirm the bus terminal on your ticket, since the parcel office and the passenger terminal may not be the same site. Our Lagos to Port Harcourt bus guide covers the other companies on that road and the travel time.

GUO Logistics: Parcels Between Terminals

GUO Logistics (GUOL), which used to trade as Guber Express Courier Services, is a subsidiary of GUO Transport. It says it has more than ten years in the trade, a large truck fleet and offices across the country.

Sending a parcel follows a simple routine:

  1. Take the item to a GUO Logistics office or terminal desk.
  2. Staff register it, inspect the contents and check the packaging.
  3. You pay, and you get a waybill with the receiver’s name and phone number on it.
  4. The parcel is routed to the destination terminal and tracked in transit.
  5. The receiver collects it with ID, and the desk keeps proof of delivery.

Parcel charges depend on weight and destination and are not part of the GUO transport price list for seats. Declare what is inside, keep the waybill until the receiver confirms collection, and never send cash or original documents this way.

Booking a GUO Ticket Online or at the Counter

GUO online booking runs through the company website and its mobile app. You choose the route, date and vehicle, enter passenger details and pay, and the site also lets you manage a booking, book a round trip and request a pick-up where one is offered.

Checking online is the easiest way to compare vehicles and read the GUO transport price list for your exact date. You can also pay at any terminal counter. During December, buy as early as you can, because the Sienna seats on eastern routes go first.

The website has a child fare option. Ask at the counter what age qualifies and bring proof for older children.

Beyond Nigeria: Accra, Cotonou and Lomé

GUO lists Lagos to Accra, Lagos to Cotonou and Lagos to Lomé among its routes. The bus leaves Lagos through the Seme border, and the Accra trip crosses two more borders on the way.

Every passenger needs an international or ECOWAS passport, plus a yellow fever card for Ghana. International fares are quoted separately and move with the cedi and the CFA franc, so they are not shown in the GUO transport price list above. Ask at the terminal which Lagos point loads for the coast.

Staying Safe on GUO’s Busiest Roads

The Lagos to East corridor runs through Ore and Benin, and parts of that road have a history of robbery attacks. In April 2026, armed robbers ambushed a GUO Hiace on the Okada to Benin road while it was travelling empty from Lagos to Onitsha, and its driver was killed. GUO publicly called for stronger government action on insecurity along the route.

A few habits lower your risk:

  • Pick a morning departure if you can, so the bus clears Benin in daylight.
  • Share your seat number, the bus registration and the departure time with someone at home.
  • Keep phones, cash and documents on your body, not in the boot.
  • Board only at a GUO terminal, never from a roadside pick-up offered by someone claiming to be GUO.

For the Enugu leg in particular, our Lagos to Enugu bus price guide covers fares and terminals for other operators on that route as well.

What GUO Passengers Usually Ask

Who Owns GUO Transport?

GUO was built by Chief Godwin Ubaka Okeke, who started carrying passengers between Onitsha and Enugu in 1970. The company says it was set up in 1980 as a division of G. U. Okeke & Sons Ltd.

Is the GUO Sienna Worth the Extra Money?

If you are travelling as a family or want fewer stops, yes. Expect to pay roughly ₦9,000 to ₦12,000 more than a Hiace Ultra seat on the Enugu route.

Will GUO Deliver a Parcel If I Am Not on the Bus?

Yes. GUO Logistics registers the parcel, gives you a waybill and sends it to the destination terminal, where the receiver collects it with ID.

Does GUO Go to Ghana?

GUO lists Lagos to Accra among its routes, along with Cotonou and Lomé. Carry a passport and a yellow fever card.

Why Does My Fare Jump at Christmas?

Demand on the eastern routes peaks from mid-December, and every line of the GUO transport price list rises with it. GUO’s festive increases have run at around 15 to 20 percent on the Enugu route.

If GUO is full on your date, our ABC Transport price list covers a rival with strong eastern routes. Otherwise, check the GUO transport price list on the website a week ahead, choose your vehicle with care, and aim to be through Benin before dark.
